Inside the Baxter Building

Inside the Baxter Building are Fabian Gutscher (electronics), Samuel Würgler, (trumpet, electronics) and Simon Petermann (trombone, electronics). They describe their musical collaboration as "electronic real-time music". After a CD production "Seldom Somber" (2015) and a subsequent tour, the band focused on improvisation, the uncontrollable and what chance or even mutual influence mean and how they could be favored. They continue to pursue these questions consistently. In exchange with different artistic disciplines they asked themselves how improvisation as a way of working could also be fruitful for other art disciplines? This exchange was to take them on a nearly 6-year journey. Their experiences with improvisation and serendipity are to be communicated and experienced in an accessible way in their next project.
